5. Customized arrangements by an “old master”
As far as the copyright is not violated, you are also welcome to order an old piece. An „old master“ always brings class and ambience into a room.
Please not:
An exhibit by an artist is in the public domain 70 years after his or her death which means that it can be used freely by anyone. That's because the copyright expires. It is then called: Hand-made art copy in museum quality or reproduction of an old master, hardly distinguishable from the original. As a flexible artist, I am also attracted by such reproductions since it is an interesting experience to slip into the role of a well-known, old painter.
Historical facts:
A customized masterwork always has a luxurious touch because kings and emperors already had their personal court painters. These people had a privileged status in the court. Even Napoleon had one, the Milanese Andres Appiani. He for example made a portrait of him as a king.
